Deanna Hammond- Creature Stilts and Spinning Poi

Deanna Audrey Hammond is a San Francisco native who has been performing locally and internationally since 2005. While studying in Tucson, AZ, she began her career as a Primary Performer with the pyrotechnic theater company Flam Chen. Deanna performed in more than 120 performances, often using multiple skills in a single show. Her performances strive to elicit feelings of wonder and rapture that transport the audience to an alternate state.

Sylphie Currin- Contortion, Hula hoop, Hula-tortion

Sylphie's training began in Ballet at the age of 4 and continued in Circus at the age of 10. Shortly after, she found the San Francisco Circus Center and started training with world renowned trapeze artist, Elena Panova, in 2005. She was invited into the Professional Aerial program and spent 2 years creating a unique aerial contortion act combining a fluid elegance with her own irregular movement style.

Xiaohong Weng & Jennings McCown- Doubles Hand-balancing

Jennings and Xiaohong’s performance specialties include hand balancing, aerial straps, and Chinese lion dance. A native of mainland China, Xiaohong Weng trained and performed in the Nanjing acrobatic troupe for 10 years before leaving to tour the United States with his performance group, eventually settling in San Francisco. Jennings McCown spent several years on small, traditional tented circuses touring throughout the U.S. before leaving to work a 2-year stint in various Club Med resorts. Jennings and Xiaohong both currently work as instructors at the San Francisco Circus Center, teaching flying trapeze and acrobatics to all levels of students. Jennings and Xiaohong are based in San Francisco, California and available to perform in the Bay Area.
