Relapse of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
How you found out about the illness - When my son was diagnosed for the first time, he was 18 mths old. He had all the classic symptoms, which I did not know about at that time. He had fever, lack of appetite, petichia all over his body and small clots in his groin joints and severe pain in the left leg so much so that he did not want to walk for a few days. Our pediatrician immediately sent us to the hospital.
When he relapsed my son was 5 yrs old and it had been a year since his therapy ended. He had low grade fever for a couple of days and pain in his lower back so much so that he did not want to bend. It was detected in the course of his regular checkup and bloodwork.
