Are you an artist? Do you like helping kids be creative? If so, we are sure you will love volunteering with Kids & Art Foundation. We team up local artists with children who are touched by cancer, their siblings and caregivers. Together they use art as healing to empower, encourage and create memorable experiences. We make an artist out of a child regardless of the battles they are fighting in their real life. By volunteering at our Kids & Art workshops you will help create an empathetic environment of care and support and bring joy to these families through art.

As well as our weekly workshops at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Stanford Children’s Hospital, we hold destination workshops once a month in the Bay Area. Locations include Pixar, Google, Clay by the Bay, San Francisco Center for the Book, and Palo Alto Arts League. Each monthly destination workshop is held on a Sunday for 2-3 hours.

All artist volunteers arrive half an hour before the workshop to set-up. Artists will have prepped for a project ahead of time and will have worked closely with our workshop manager to identify art supplies and other needs.

We are so grateful to our volunteer artists for the time and creativity they share. Some artists have been volunteering with us for many years and have helped build a strong community of Kids & Art artists.
