2018 DESTINATION Workshops
This is Kids & Art's signature workshop where we offer one of a kind experiences at creative venues for children with cancer and their care circles. (Workshop registration calendar below)
Kids & Art is always looking for creative venues that are willing to open up their space for us to hold a workshop. We take great care in searching for destinations, artists and companies who wish to host us.
In 2017, 223 children with cancer and their care circles participated in our destination workshops.
In 2018, we have already created wonderful memories for many families at these workshops including:
- Creating glass sun catchers at Public Glass
- Leather making for teens at The Crucible
- Wheel throwing for families at Clay by the Bay
- Painting with professional artists at Pacific Arts League studio
We look forward to introducing new forms of art during the rest of our 2018 destination workshop season including at Pixar, Craftbox, and with artist Ellen Brook.
We are so grateful to our hosts, artists and volunteers who make this possible.
Our free arts workshops for pediatric cancer families are expanding!
Would your employees like to volunteer with us? Are you a creative company that would like to host a workshop for us? There are several ways to get involved. Sign-up below as a volunteer or email us if you would like more information: firstname.lastname@example.org
